But after a few months, he was thrown out of the dairy as well.

Yashasvi himself had told about this in an interview that ‘I used to work in Kalbadevi Dairy. After playing cricket the whole day, I used to get tired and sleep for a while. One day they threw me out from there saying that I only sleep and I do not help them in any way.

After being thrown out from Kalbadevi Dairy, he again faced the problem of accommodation. But his passion for cricket was so much that he did not even tell his family about his problem, because he was afraid that after hearing all this, his family would call him back and his dream of becoming a cricketer would remain just a dream.

After wandering for a long time, he found a place for a tent to stay. For many years, Yashasvi lived in the Muslim United Club tent in Azad Maidan, Mumbai. Here he used to work as a cook at night and practice cricket during the day. Father also sent money many times but it was not enough to live in Mumbai.

Jaiswal lived in a tent for three years and along with playing cricket, also did small jobs. During this period, there were days when he used to sleep hungry and sell Panipuri near Azad Maidan for livelihood. After three years of struggle, Jaiswal’s talent was recognized by cricket coach Jwala Singh, who gave him a place to stay and became his guardian and mentor. He also encouraged Yashasvi to participate in many competitions.  After which his performance in local cricket started improving.

Yashasvi Jaiswal first came into limelight in 2015 when he registered his name in the Limca Book of Records by scoring unbeaten 319 runs in a Giles Shield match. After this Jaiswal did not look back. Yashasvi Jaiswal made his first-class debut for Mumbai cricket team in Ranji Trophy on 7 January 2019, in which he scored 20 runs. After this, he made his debut in List A cricket for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on 28 September 2019. Jaiswal attracted national media attention in 2019 when, at the age of 17, he scored 203 runs in 154 balls for Mumbai against Jharkhand and became the youngest cricketer to score a double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. That season, Jaiswal scored 564 runs in six innings at an average of over 112, which included 25 sixes and 49 fours.

This incredible batting performance of Jaiswal earned him a place in the Indian Under-19 team and he was selected in the Indian team for the 2020 Under-19 World Cup. Jaiswal also took full advantage of this opportunity and made headlines by playing an unbeaten inning of 105 runs in India’s 10-wicket win against arch-rival Pakistan.  That season Jaiswal could play only three matches and scored 40 runs. In the next season 2021 IPL, Jaiswal improved his game and as an opening batsman he scored 249 runs in 10 matches at an average of 24.90. On 2 October 2021, he scored his first half-century against CSK.

Before the mega auction in IPL 2022, Rajasthan Royals retained uncapped player Yashasvi Jaiswal for Rs 4 crore. In the 2022 season, Jaiswal scored 258 runs in 10 matches at an average of 25.80. In IPL 2023 also, Royals retained Jaiswal for the same amount. He scored his first century in IPL against Mumbai Indians, although his team lost that match.
